From MYSPACE to marriage

I just got in from shooting a wonderful wedding today for Ron and Christina, and i have to say, I had a wonderful time. They were so plesant to work with, and their friends and family are wonderful people. They met on myspace around four years ago, and have been dating ever since. They are very much in love, and I pray that they have a wonderful life together. I know that they wont have a problem getting through hard times, because the DJ screwed everything up tonight from announcing the party to having a mic for the toasts, and didnt even bring their first dance song with them. But they got through that, so i imagine that they can handle lifes little bumps. ~GOOD LUCK Ron and Christina~

Here is just one photo of the groomsmen, (The best man was interested in seeing it). More photos will follow soon.

Ron and Christinas' Engagement Session

I just got back from shooting Ron and Christina's engagement session. They are good friends of a buddy of mine, and this is the first time that I have met them. They are getting married on saturday, and things are starting to get down to the wire. I am so glad that I will be able to be a part of their wonderful day. Here are a few photos, but I have to head back to Pittsburgh. More will be posted as time allows.

On a side note, it is such a beautiful day today, and if the weather stays the way that it is now, I am going to have to go outside and play some volleyball. It is just so beautiful up here in the Laurel Highlands, and it is so great to be able to sit on the porch and enjoy the day while editing photos...

Winning the Race

"It is for freedom that Christ has set us free." ~Galatians 5:1

I heard that in a sermon yesterday, and it is so true. So often I find myself glued by fear and afraid to take the necessary steps towards complete freedom; freedom that comes in the form of being out of school, knowing where I am headed in my life, and what my purpose is.

That freedom is slowly working its way into my life. I have the support of family, and I am beginning to pick up business where I want it. It is the freedom that is felt when you slowly start to win the race. You have to stay on the right path, and make your move at the right time.

The time for apathy is at an end. There are opportunities out there, but they are waiting for the people who are going to take them, the people who will make their move. The people who are understanding what freedom is.

USPSA Shooting

So I havent gone handgun shootiing in probably more than two years. I've been thinking about going out to some events to shoot some photos. Friday night a friend asked if I wanted to go out on saturday. I had a blast. This is the hardest shooting that I have ever done. Everything is scored on speed, accuracy, and shooting from the designated shooting points. Its fast and requires thinking on the fly. I love it. Some of these gus have pretty nice rigs. I guess its like cameras. you spend alot and expect to get alot.

Graduation

Here are my friends from school while we waited in line for over an hour before we were seated

It has finally come full circle. 2 years ago I had no idea what I wanted to do with my life. On a whim I decided to study journalism. Now a little more than 2 years later, I recieved my degree and am ready for anything that God places in my path. It's not always going to be easy. He never promised that it would be. Every day there is temptation. Some times I make the right decisions, sometimes I dont. But I ask for his guidence every day, whether it is in simple decisions that I have to make, or big business related decisions.

God is faithful. If we listen, we can hear. Our ears must be listening for His word or we will miss it.

another thing that is comming now that I have graduated is the development and launch of my website. keep checking back to see what is new and what is going on.
